Commitment to Accessibility

Kerados is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Kerados is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features on this website:

Skip-to-content navigation link
Semantic HTML structure (nav, main, section, footer)
ARIA labels on navigation, sections, and interactive elements
Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
Keyboard-navigable hamburger menu with focus trap
Support for prefers-reduced-motion — animations are disabled when this preference is set
Color contrast ratios designed to meet WCAG AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components)
No auto-playing audio or video

Accessibility Widget

Our website includes an accessibility widget (the button in the bottom-right corner of every page) that allows you to customize your browsing experience. The widget offers the following adjustments:

Vision: Font size scaling, contrast modes (dark, light, invert), text color overrides, saturation control, link highlighting, large cursor, and the option to hide images
Motor: Enhanced focus indicators, larger click areas for interactive elements, and the ability to pause all animations
Cognitive: Adjustable text spacing, dyslexia-friendly font, structural highlighting of headings and landmarks, reading guide, and reading mask
General: Page structure navigator for quick navigation to headings and landmarks, and a reset button to restore all defaults

Your accessibility preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist across page visits. No data is sent to any server — all settings remain entirely on your device.

The widget supplements the site's built-in accessibility features listed above; it does not replace them.

Desktop Application

The Kerados desktop application is currently in pre-release development. Accessibility for the desktop application will be addressed as part of the development process and documented at the time of release.

Automated testing using browser accessibility tools (e.g., axe DevTools, Lighthouse)
